Meet Our Team

My wife, Ann and I, reside in the beautiful city of San Jose, California. However, I was born in Taipei, Taiwan. At four years old my family moved to Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. I later met my amazing wife in California. After bringing her back to Minnesota, she realized what a mistake leaving California was! Yes, I’m glad she convinced me to move to this Golden State!

In 2005, I began my career in Retirement Planning. I chose this career path since the majority do not have a retirement specialist regarding the two biggest gaps in retirement: healthcare and guaranteed income planning. My wife later also got her license and has been very involved in building my team. At the same time, she also helps raise our two precious kids. I call her, supermom! 

As many of my clients would agree, I love to teach. The knowledge that I provide enables my clients to make their own educated and unbiased decisions. My goal is to guide them through planning for their “Golden Years” with concise and transparent information. With going on 17 years of experience, my belief in being a creditable educator is by continually educating myself. Part of life is our ability to never stop learning.

I was born and raised in San Jose by my loving parents, along with my two beautiful sisters and intelligent brother. Not to forget, we also share two vivacious huskies. My great-grandparents, on both sides, moved from China to Myanmar, where my parents grew up. After moving to the United States in their early youth, they finally met in California, got married, and started a family. Growing up, we lived with our grandparents. Before he passed, my grandfather was like my best friend. Later, when he had a home accident, requiring him to indefinitely rely on the support of caregivers and nurses, it was not only heartbreaking but also eye opening. Our family was financially stable but not rich. How was he able to afford the surgeries, care, supplies he needed? These were questions that when I was younger, I did not pay much attention to.

Prior to joining the KC team, I had already begun my journey in appreciating the realm of retirement. During my schooling in Health Science, I worked several years as a Medication Technician and Caregiver at a wonderful Assisted Living Facility in the Evergreen, San Jose area. Working with that community was one of the most rewarding, precious steppingstones in my education. Not only did I have the privilege of bonding with so many wonderful members of this community, I was also exposed to how healthcare and income are constantly intertwined. Firsthand, it became obvious to me the impact that good preparation has on our long-term plans, which, in turn, helped me better understand the experience and the resources my grandfather set up for himself many years prior.

Today, working with our KC team, I’ve been able to bring all my experiences full circle. The hands-on, family-style personality of our office fit in perfectly with type of career and lifestyle I hoped for. Being able to see how our personalized education and life-long relationships effect our clients reaffirms my motivation.

Hello! I’m Jake Jiang, I was born and raised in Hunan, China. I moved to the States with my lovely mom and my awesome older brother at the age of 12. I love living right in the heart of Silicon Valley: Sunnyvale, California.

Living in the Bay Area is amazing, but also very expensive. While going to college, I was observing my friends and family around me and noticed how it is not only harder for my generation to make a living here but also hard for the older generations to retire.  After meeting Kai and his team at KCIIS, I realized that they specialized in helping seniors retire earlier and stress-free. Immediately I knew I wanted to get into this field. I’ve always enjoyed talking to people and love bringing a smile to their faces by improving their lives. 

Hello, I’m Jennifer Kester. I’m originally from the Bay Area. My Mother came to San Francisco from Hong Kong when she was nineteen and soon after met my Dad. I was born in San Francisco and when I was two, we moved to Novato where I was raised. I feel blessed to have been raised in Marin County, where I have many fond memories and where a lot of my friends and family still reside.

College brought me to Reno, NV where I have lived for almost 27 years. My husband and I have been married 20 years! He works in Law Enforcement at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department.

We have three children, one daughter and two sons, whom we adore!

We love the Sierra Nevada living and the community we have become a part of. My family is active at Grace Church. I believe my faith is what guided me into the profession of helping retirees through one of the most important processes they’ll encounter- Medicare. I’ve been a licensed insurance agent who specializes in Medicare since 2013. Educating people on this confusing subject is my passion! I am happy to talk to anyone about Medicare and give them guidance- client or not. I encourage anyone who has a
question or concern to contact me so I can give them an honest and accurate recommendation. I’m able to help simplify the process and give them a true understanding of their Health Care moving forward into retirement. Aside from my family, making a difference in someone’s life while providing peace of mind for excellent health coverage and a continued relationship year after year is what makes my life have a purpose. I will always do what is best for my clients and have built an excellent reputation amongst them, my neighbors, and my community.
